MY QUESTION IS VAIN

MY QUESTION IS VAIN

Tomorrow I will soak my tongue in my palette again. Tomorrow I will sketch a swan’s ballet in my brain. Tomorrow I will look for a swan in vain. Tomorrow I will hear the signals speeding up my train. How long has my train travelled through the mountain chain? The conductor doesn’t know so my question is vain. Tomorrow I will kiss the snow to make it pledge plenty of grain. Will I soak my tongue in my palette again? This question is a puzzle even for my heart’s pain. My heart holds its palette to paint my brain. Tomorrow I will wait for something to gain. Tomorrow’s lips will whisper a puzzle so my question is vain.
